This is definitely one of my favorite warm-weather drinks. Vodka lemonade is a close second so you better believe that recipe is going on a trial run before summer!
Now, I must confess, I actually make this Brandy Slush Cooler all year long :). I also eat ice cream year-round but that’s another story, LOL! Seriously though, this is such a refreshing drink. It has green tea, orange juice, and lemonade so…it must be good for you, right?
Here’s how simple it is to make:
- Boil 2 cups of water and add 4 green tea bags. Let stand for 10 minutes.
- Combine 7 cups of water with 2 cups of sugar in a large pan and bring to a boil.
- Add the tea, lemonade, orange juice, and brandy to the sugar mixture.
- Pour into a gallon-size ice cream bucket or bowl with a lid and freeze for 24 hours.
- When serving, put 2 ice cream scoops (approx. 1 cup) of the slush in a large glass and fill with 7up or other lemon-lime soda.
You can also get creative with how you serve/enjoy this Brandy Slush Cooler. I like mine extra thick so I usually add more than 1 cup of slush to my glass. I have to use a spoon to “drink” it but I’m good with that. It gives me that feeling of a drink and dessert all in one :)! And…if you like the feeling of being on a beach at a resort, you can garnish with a cherry and orange slice (you’re welcome, LOL).
Notice how I just slipped this photo in with the muffins? Yes…I’m giving you permission to enjoy the slush with your breakfast or brunch :). You can find my Banana Muffins recipe here.
However you enjoy this Brandy Slush Cooler, I hope all your days are sunny!
Till next time…Cheers!
